so yesterday just came back from OBS Camp @ Pulau Ubin.
basically it was a new experience, definitely.
let me share with you what me and the group went thru'.

the night before OBS, i cut my finger with a swiss army knife.damn.
kay back to OBS.
we did many things that are a challenge to ourselves.
we met up with each other as a group.
& bonded easily with each other. we belong to watch NEHRU!
trust me, the people there are fun-loving and entertaining.
& of course not to forget our friendly and lovable instructor, BERNARD! he's verry friendly and funny too. can't forget the times Danial joked around with him.
we were on a mobile camp, so we didn't stay put on one campsite.
each day will be a new campsite. we packed food and tents and bags on the first day at campsite 1. learned belaying and just break the ice. then we set camp in the forest.
the following day we tried the high elements there. it was as about 4 storeys high. encouraged one another to give support. aftermath we learned how to kayak and capsized. it was a challenge to get the kayak back up.but the most challenging part was to get yourself back on the kayak. soon after we kayaked to campsite 2. had a briefing on our sea expedition.
day 3, we had to kayak from campsite 2 to campsite 3. it was not that far, but we were told to kayak around pulau ubin. we took 8 hours to kayak from campsite 2 to campsite 3. it was a challenge that really test you endurance. we set camp and cooked dinner.& not to forget, we're on a remote part of the island, so there's NO toilet!! so we do our business in the bushes of course. it rained at night, thus our tents are flooded.
next day we had land expedition. walked around pulau ubin and carrying bagpacks that is as heavy as 15 kg. each person carrying one. so walked and walked and walked. we were given a map and a compass. we had to navigate the way ourselves in and out of the forest. the instructor only told us the checkpoints. we walked to the east-end of pulau ubin, and walked back to somewhere near the west-end of pulau ubin. where we end up at campsite 2.
at night, we trek back to campsite 1 in the forest. there were 2 other watches walking with us, Elizabeth and Tok Seng. we reached a certain point and we had to walked alone in the forest till we reached the end where we'll meet Bernard. it's something like a confidence walk. once everyone finished, walked again and finally reached campsite 1. pitched our tent and had a bath. since we did not bathe for 2 days, it's very refreshing for us.
finally, the last day. woke up and carried our tents to the store. had 5Bx and then breakfast. aftermath time for clean up and pack up. nehru was the first (if i'm not wrong) to finish packing and cleaning everything. GO NEHRU! then gathered for the last time before buying souveniers.
then off we go back to mainland Singapore at Punggol Jetty.
